Pharmosphere runs in your browser, but you can add it to your home screen so it opens full-screen with its own icon, just like an app from the App Store. It takes a couple of taps and there is nothing to download.
It is the same secure Pharmosphere
Installing to your home screen does not create a separate account or store your data any differently. It is the same website, in a tidier window, with a shortcut icon. You stay signed in, and everything syncs as normal.
On iPhone or iPad (Safari)#
- Open pharmosphere.co.uk in Safari. This does not work in other browsers on iPhone.
- Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up) in the toolbar.
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add in the top corner.
The Pharmosphere icon now sits on your home screen. Open it and it fills the whole screen, without the Safari address bar.
On Android (Chrome)#
- Open pharmosphere.co.uk in Chrome.
- You may see an Install Pharmosphere prompt at the bottom of the screen. Tap Install.
- If you do not see it, tap the three-dot menu in the top corner, then Install app (or Add to Home screen).
- Confirm, and the icon is added to your home screen and app drawer.
Why bother#
- One tap to open. No typing the address or hunting through browser tabs.
- Full screen. More room for your dashboard, shifts and invoices.
- A weekly habit. Logging a shift the moment you finish is the whole point, and a home-screen icon makes that quick.
Works offline, up to a point
If your connection drops, Pharmosphere shows a friendly offline screen rather than a browser error. Your saved data lives securely online, so it is there again as soon as you reconnect. It is not a full offline app.
Is this the App Store app?#
Not yet. This is the website added to your home screen, which gives you most of what a store app would. A dedicated App Store and Google Play listing may follow later. Either way, your shortcut will keep working.
